God is good all the time…..
He has us in his righteous right hand…
The scripture of the day…
Galatians 6:9 – Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
This verse has been shared with me by several people through this journey…
We have never given up….
I realized today….
My harvest will be when other people benefit from this beautifully horrible experience….
Not my personal gain….
But lives changed….
He is and will use this for good….
Personally, He is squashing my pride so I can help more people….
Turning my attention outward and not inward….
My healed wife was such a great example of how to live for others….
He wants me to be more like her….
She was more like Him….
Less of me and more of Him….
She was such a big influence on this earth…
She will be an even greater influence in heaven….
What the enemy meant for evil He will turn to good…..
I told you yesterday that my kids were growing up…
The girls had planned for weeks to go to the movies yesterday and then hang out a bit with a new sweet friend they made at New Frontiers….
I asked them to cut it a little short and just do the movie…
They agreed with such peace and joy….
Not even questioning why….
Remember they are all teenagers….
I replied that it just gives them an excuse to schedule another play date with their new friend….
Addison my 13 year old baby girl immediately responded….
Dad we are big girls now. They are not playdates. They are hangouts….
Later that day I was walking through the playroom to the attic…
I came across the picture below…
My heart swelled as I knew that “big girl” who loves animals, was the creator of that beautiful work….
A moment I would have missed before this beautifully horrible experience slowed me down.…
He is and will use this to His glory….
Again, so much more I intended to talk about today but the Lord redirected my words to His words….
Tomorrow is a big day….
I miss my healed wife more everyday….
We talk about her constantly with joy and peace…
Not with heavy sorrow….
…..All the time God is good!
