My devotional this morning….
Talking about 1 Peter 3:1….
How the wife should be in subjection to the husband….
How the wife should support her husband….
How he has enough battles at work…
Enough battles with the enemy….
He should come home to loving and supportive wife….
It made me reflect on my healed wife…
It made me reflect on relationships around me…
That scripture is clear…
As His Word always is…
Wives should support their husbands…
That does not mean wives should tolerate abuse…
Not physical….
Not emotional….
Not spiritual….
It does not mean to tolerate abuse….
This is direction on responding to a Godly man….
Whether I always fit that shoe…
The Godly man shoe….
My healed wife always supported me…
Always….
The Godly shoe…
It continued to fit better and better….
As my relationship with Him grew….
Encouraged by her…
As her relationship grew with Him…
Encouraged by me….
Our relationship together grew…
Stronger…
And stronger….
We were equally yoked…..
We were designed for each other….
We still are…..
She was always there for me….
I used to tell her….
I can handle anything….
Anything….
As long as I have her on my side….
As long as I have Him on my side…
And I always did….
And I still do….
And I can handle anything….
Even if being on my side meant correction and direction….
She did it with truth and love….
I stood corrected….
And we pressed forward….
Growing together….
I miss her….
With every breath….
But we are still growing….
Together….
Our schedule is calming down a bit….
We are searching for some routine….
As I sit here spending time with the Lord…
My children trickle out…
To be with me…
To be with Him….
To seek first….
To start their day with His peace…
His love….
His direction….
He is keeping us strong….
Together….
His joy is our strength….
I think the children are taking better care of me…
Than I am taking of them….
But we are figuring it out together….
With Him….
With Her….
We are walking in joy…
And in peace….
Rising above the pain…
One breath at a time….
One step at a time….
….. all the time God is good!
