God is good all the time!!!!
He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave – Psalms 107:20
Think about that, He sent His WORD and healed them. What a good God and a powerful reminder. Trust in the truth of His word!!!
So Mary Carol has been battling nausea and vomiting since before Christmas. As I mentioned before, the nausea can be part of detoxing the body, so it was not alarming at the beginning but it continued. Not being able to keep anything down led to stopping the protocol until we got the vomiting under control which led to dehydration which led to constipation which led to increased nausea…. you see where I am going. (Several lessons learned in this process – one being that we tolerated her issues too long before involving professional help.)
We finally reached out for help last week and got labs and an x-ray of the abdomen. The results pointed to dehydration and constipation. We got hydrated on Thursday and did labs again on Friday. My healed wife felt a lot better with some hydration but was still constipated.
The results came back Monday and our local physician pointed us with urgency to the emergency room with concerns about her calcium at critical levels and kidney function very low. We went to the hospital and got treated for dehydration and through fluids only, God brought all the numbers back in line. We needed a little help (go-lytley) with the constipation. That is a whole story in itself as pooping was the final criteria for us to be released. I am not sure there has ever been so many people praying for poop – haha. Our very awesome but proper and scientific local doctor called yesterday and after explaining where we were hesitantly and a little sheepishly said “Well ….. I guess….. I will pray…. for poop?!?!” HAHA – Anyway, we were able to come back home last night and were released to resume the protocols by both our US and MX physicians.
Did I say God is good all the time?
Let me share a few quick highlights about this time where we clearly had God squeezing our right hand saying, he has got this, confirming he was right there with us, and that he is directing our footsteps.
Let me make a quick sidenote. Intuition or our “gut” feel is a gift from God and one of the ways the Holy Spirit communicates with us. We ignored several “nudges” during the early stages of this dehydration that would have stopped it in the early stages and we may have avoided all this. Just more confirmation that we are on the right path and this speed bump was caused by us ignoring our intuition and the pokes from the Lord that we were getting off track.
Back to the beautiful story of our hospital visit. It could have been a nightmare had we not chosen to trust in the Lord and his goodness and faithfulness. We prayed on our way that we knew nothing they would tell us would be a surprise to God and that He has got this. We also prayed that we would not get constant confrontation and judgement for not seeking traditional treatment for the cancer in my healed wife’s body.
When we were told to go to the hospital, my healed wife immediately said we are going to Stonecrest in Smyrna. I did not ask why because she was very convicted about her choice and I did not have a preference. We got there to a crowded waiting room but got directly back to triage, to a room, with a doctor visit, and on fluids within 30 minutes of getting there.
EVERY person asked us all the questions and everyone asked if we were working with an oncologist and as we explained with faith and confidence that we have sought out alternative methods, they all respected our decision and did not pass judgement. The shared a few thoughts but once they realized we were confident in our direction they did not push other options on us. It was clear that they were notating the discussion because each person to come in after the initial rounds of questions would ask directly about our protocols and MX.
(Part of why I think we were received with such grace and respect regarding our non-traditional approach is because we are not against traditional, we just dont think it is right for us. We don’t present our approach with judgement or with an adversarial tone regarding traditional methods. We present it with love and confidence that it is the path the Lord has directed us.)
We got admitted and handed off from the ER doctor to the hospital doctor. The hospital doctor was amazing with such great energy and attitude. He was very interested in our alternative treatments. After further discussion with him, he shared with us something he thought he had never shared with anyone at the hospital. He said he had a relative go to MX for cancer treatment and the protocol was juicing, vegetarian diet, and coffee enemas. He was not sure of the name of the protocol but that would be a similar summary and explanation of the Gerson protocol. So if it was not Gerson, it was a similar protocol. That relative he mentioned was healed from cancer and lived for another 30 years after coming off the protocols. He applauded us for our choice to seek alternative treatments and therapies.
That same doctor also made mention that the US does not have the market cornered on cancer treatment and that is why the places like in Tijuana MX exists. His thoughts were that as long as Pfizer and Moderna could not patent a coffee enema, that type therapy will never be supported in the US regardless of its effectiveness.
We got support and confirmation at every turn in an environment that is trained and educated on traditional only. Another example, we got a call from our local physician yesterday at the hospital. Last Friday, she had told us since we were electing to not work with traditional oncology, they might not be able to work with us. We had originally picked them because their model is to support non-traditional treatments. They are not naturopathic doctors but they were not strict traditional. It was a blow to hear that they may not be able to continue with us.
Our PA called us 2 hours later from her home with overflowing joy. Her supervisory physician (not sure that is the correct title) approved working with us and was very interested in learning more about what we are doing so they could help other patients.
That same PA called to check on us to let let us know they were all praying for us. (She opened our first phone call Friday that led to the potentially bad news of not working with us…. in prayer! – How awesome is that!) She also wanted to know how she could help to get us back on the Gerson protocol because “it works.” This is the same group who’s standard protocol almost prevented them from working with us at all. Now they are excited and “honored” (that is a quote – honored) to be a part of our journey and telling us the Gerson protocol “works.”
We don’t believe in coincidences. We believe these are God-incidences. He has put the exact right people in every step of our path.
Those are just a few small examples of how God just kept us in total peace and comfort throughout the entire visit because it could have been laced with fear, frustration, and stress had we let it.
What could have brought fear, frustration, and stress?
Being pushed to the front of the line of a packed waiting room in the ER and being taken straight to triage.
The fact that there were no beds available in the hospital and we spent the first 24 hours in the emergency room waiting for a room in the hospital – my healed wife in an uncomfortable ER gurney and me in a folding chair for most of the time.
The constant reminder and discussions about the facts of the cancer that had invaded my healed wife’s body. None of the people understanding the truth of her healing through Jesus Christ!
The first two nurses that came in yesterday morning were trembling, sweating, and shaking with anxiety from a “rough” morning. We used that opportunity to pray for all the staff and for the patient that caused a rough morning. We prayed that He bring peace to them all and comfort and let His presence be felt by all. We prayed that if anyone did not know Him that He use this situation to make them a new creation in Christ. We found out later they lost a patient on our floor that morning.
Instead of letting death bring fear and anxiety to us, we watched the Lord work across the nurses and the floor that morning bringing them peace. The day remained fairly somber, but God clearly responded to our prayers and I am sure others to bring the nurses comfort and peace. His presence was apparent.
Without trusting in the Lord, any one of those situations could have brought stress, anxiety, fear, and misery upon us. But the Lord has us under His wings the entire time.
….. ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD!! (am I yelling – Yes! AMEN!)
My healed wife is an Overcomer waiting to testify!!!
…. all the time God is good.
